Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame Announces 
"The Class of 2005" Inductees

The Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame honors those individuals who have shown excellence in competition, business, and support of rodeo and western lifestyle in Texas. Honorees are inducted in to the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame once a year. This year’s date is set for January 13, 2005, where 7 new inductees will be honored.

The 2005 Cowboy Hall of Fame inductees are:

Jimmie and Bud Munroe: Jimmie is a former World Champion barrel racer, all around cowgirl and WPRA (Women’s Professional Rodeo Association) President. Bud is a former World Champion Saddle Bronc Rider.

Bernis Johnson: Rodeo Producer and National Finals Rodeo Bucking Stock Contracter.

Wanda & Stanley Bush: World Champion and National Finals Rodeo Champion cowgirl and cowboy.

Tom Moorhouse: Legendary Texas cowboy, cowman, and ranch rodeo competitor.

We will also present the Rick Smith “Spirit Of Texas” award established to recognize those individuals whose lives and accomplishments epitomize the independence, individuality, and innovative thinking associated with being Texan, and renamed in 2004 in honor of country music producer, promoter, and visionary Rick Smith after his passing. This year the great legendary singer songwriter Willie Nelson will be accepting this honor. He will be joining previous winners Red Stegall and the Light Crust Doughboys.

The Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame is thrilled to add the “Class of 2005” to our hall of fame, which already honors 56 distinguished people including 7-time World Champion All Around Cowboy Ty Murray, 8-time World Champion Bull Rider Don Gay, NCHA President and Former World Champion Lindy Burch and Greg Welch, Former Dallas Cowboy team doctor and founder of the Justin Sports Medicine program Dr. J. Pat Evans. Each inductee has a prominent display of memorabilia from saddles to buckles and back numbers.

The Induction Ceremony will be held at the
Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame on January 13th.
Cocktails at 6:00pm.
Induction Ceremony at 7:00pm followed by dinner.
There will be an open bar and barbeque dinner.
