Bob Watt was born in Fort Worth, and has worked with the Fort Worth Stock Show since his college years, holding various division superintendent positions in the 1950's and 1960's. He was named to the board of directors in 1958, and became executive assistant to his father in 1969. In 1971 he assumed the dual post of board secretary and general manager, and became president/manager in 1977.
Bob has been involved with the significant improvements at the Will Rogers Memorial center, including the Amon G. Carter, Jr. Exhibits Hall, the Will Rogers Equestrian Center, the Kit and Charlie Moncrief Building and Watt Arena, and the new Visitors Center. The Fort Worth Stock Show is one of the nations most outstanding rodeo events, boasting 21,000 head of livestock and 900 rodeo entries. Bob is still active in the Watt Cattle Company. He and wife Jerri have 3 children and 3 grandchildren.
