President, Southwestern Exposition & Livestock Show (1945-1972)

Billy Bob was born in Longview, Texas and moved to Fort Worth in 1904. His interest in cattle & ranching began in 1933. He was elected a stock show director in 1945, and the following year became president, in 1950 Billy Bob was also named show manager, and held both positions until 1972 until his son Bob was named manager. Billy Bob was the initial president of the North American Livestock Show and Rodeo Managers Association, creating a show circuit to eliminate conflicting dates. Billy Bob was named to the PRCA's Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame, and along with Bob Watt, they were honored with the Charles Goodnight Award.
