Sheila and Buster Welch call the 50,000 acre Double Mountain River Ranch in Rotan, Texas, home. True to the spirit of the Old West, they still use chuck wagons to feed the hands and Hooligan wagons to carry spare gear. They have been married for 29 years, and have been working together almost since the day they met in 1966.
Sheila is a champion with non-pro earnings of over $1 million, she was the 1980 NCHA World Champion Non-Professional, is in the NCHA Rider Hall of Fame and received the Fern Sawyer Award from the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame.
Sheila and Buster truly embrace the western way of life and have instilled it in their 6 children and 12 grandchildren.
